I am a registered nurse and the Leader for Patient Experience in Fraser Health in British Columbia. Patient Education, is one of the departments that I lead. This is a team of health literacy experts that provide plain language consultation and support for the creation and revision of patient education materials for the the people we serve. My teams are passionate about health literacy and plain language, and the important role it plays in providing safe, quality, person-centred care.
